Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable and easy to use car seat Loving this convertible car seat so far. The fabric is super comfortable and cooling, and the seat is really easy to adjust and use with my four year old. Also love that it has a cup holder! Since my four year old sits forward facing, we can't take advantage of the seat rotation offered in the rear-facing direction only, but I did test out the rotation before installation and it's easy to do. It will be great to use once our baby is out of her infant car seat (which we prefer over the convertible seat since we can carry the infant seat around if the baby is sleeping.) It can be used for babies 4 lbs and up, and comes with an infant insert as well. The price point is higher than what we would normally spend on a convertible car seat, but I could see it being valuable to have that seat rotation with a rear-facing kiddo. And the car seat was about average to install-- I always find car seat instructions a bit complicated. But we were able to do it without too much trouble. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this convertible car seat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Swivel seat for the win We love this car seat. The rotation function makes getting our toddler in and out of the car so much easier. She's happier and I'm happier. The rotation function is easy to use, just pull up on a lever and it swivels out. It swivels the other way too so when the seat is flipped around to be forward facing, it will still rotate out towards the door. It's much easier to be certain the harness is clicked and snug when our kid is facing us than to do that from the side. So we definitely love the swivel/rotation function. It was super easy to install also. Other carseats we've used have these hooks to help secure the carseat base into loops down in the fold of the seat. And with those other carseats, we practically contorted our hand to get the hooks around or out from around the loops in the seat fold when installing or removing the carseat base in the car. The City Turn carseat has a latch with a button that makes that process infinitely easier. No hand contorting necessary. The fabric is nice, it seems pretty comfy too. I also like that it's easy to extend the height of the head rest part as my child grows. Just pull a lever and pull up and it clicks into place at each new height. My only complaint is the location of large warning tags on the harness and harness pads (pic included). They are huge and totally in the way. That's not such a big deal though and overall we really like the City Turn. Additionally I was given this convertible car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. It is a more high end than the type of product I normally buy, but now I can't imagine not having a carseat that rotates. Highly recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Save your back with the rotation I received the City Turn as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I was excited because I have a few other City products and have always been impressed. I have to say first thing the rotation is amazing. I wish I had had this forever! No more awkwardly hoisting your kid in sideways and tweaking your back or trying to side arm the tightening strap. With the rotation you set your baby right in and tighten it all in front of you. My daughter is a little older now so it's even more helpful to not be heaving her in sideways. The only slight issue is with the rotation she needs to hold her legs up or in to get rotated around. She doesn't mind at all it's like a fun amusement park ride for her! I really appreciate the removable padding in different sections so it grows with he your child. My 2 year old is small in the waist so I left that bottom section in so it hugs her a little bit tighter if that makes sense. Installation was pretty easy once we figured out what we were doing. We did need to refer a few times back to the directions and I was unfamiliar with this sort of Latch strap (basically a single strap connected like a T to the latches) so that took me a few minutes to figure out but once that was sorted out I used the rapid lock and it was tightened right in place. My only real hiccup was figuring out how to loosen the harness. The release is covered by the seat fabric and I didn't feel it initially. (See pic) Once I figured it out it's been no problem! Very happy with this seat overall and sad it hasn't been my primary forever!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I was given this convertible car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and love it. It was incredibly easy to install — as far as car seats go. The seat is heavy and feels like it would be very safe. Safety is our first concern and this one seems to check all the boxes. The fabric is soft and durable and looks very nice. My son fits comfortably in the seat. We love the adjustable headrest and love the swivel. It makes everything so much easier. However, he reached weight to turn forward facing and the swivel doesn’t work while front facing. The one thing that I don’t love is that the harness buckle (release button between legs) pad isn’t secured to the seat and easily comes off when you use it. We love the feature but would like it more if that piece was secured. Overall 5 stars though! It’s an awesome seat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Innovative Convertible Car Seat We received the City Turn from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This was the perfect time as our very large 7 month old needed to be transferred from the infant car seat. I was very interested in testing this product out as it had some car seat features I have never seen before. I included my husband in testing the City Turn out and after a few weeks we have enjoyed using it with some minor hiccups. The car seat looks comfortable and "high tech" as it came out of the box. The fabric looks thick and the mechanics of the car seat felt sturdy. It wasn't too heavy and I could easily carry it out to the car for it to be installed. We are hitting our cold months, so I was not able to test out the "cooling" feature of the fabric. The little cup holder was a nice touch to add with it. We have a car seat without it and then rely on using the cars cup holders if there is one nearby. I had my husband install it into our Ford Expedition. We like to use the anchors to install our car seats. He had to use a fair amount of muscle to get it correctly installed. I felt like the pictures and the instructions were easy to follow to make sure it would be installed correctly. We were installing it rear facing so our 7 month old could use it. Figuring out the swivel feature was easy and we had plenty of room in our car for it to turn completely out. When putting our son in there we found like it wasn't made for chunkier babies. The straps only adjust with the head height, so if you have a short and stout baby, it seems like the straps won't fit. It was very easy to move the head to get longer straps, but I would be concerned if we didn't have tall kids. The rotating feature makes a big difference in placing the kids into a car seat. It's a really nice touch. I would extra recommend it for grandparents and pregnant moms. It is very simple to rotate out, place the child into the seat, check that the child is strapped in correctly, and swivel back in. There isn't any resistance in the rotation and I don't notice a difference when the child is in the car seat or not. You do have to make sure that the car seat is caught and locked before stepping away. My husband said there were a couple of times he had to push for it to lock all the way. I would definitely mention the City Turn to any friends looking at convertible car seats for this feature alone. There are a lot of open crevices in the car seat that can make it difficult to clean. Our son threw up in it the first day (good for the review, bad for us). The shell came out in 2 pieces and could get thrown in the washing machine. However, there was a lot of pooling in the under part of the car seat. I would think the same thing would happen with a spilled drink. I am giving it a 7/10 because of the price range. We are comfortable spending a few hundred dollars on car seats and have in the past. This however was the most expensive car seat we have used. We also felt that some other car seats have more padding and safety around the head compared to the city turn. The rotation feature is really helpful, but we wouldn't choose that over safety.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best car seat ever This car seat is a great fit for our needs. We received it as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My little one is 2.5 and rides rear-facing which we plan to continue until she reaches the weight or height limit. Getting her in and out of her other rear-facing seat had become really difficult. The rotation feature on this seat is AMAZING. It really saves my back and makes it much easier to ensure my child is buckled safely every single time. We live in a cold climate and it’s currently winter so we haven’t really put the cooling fabric to the test. But, the overall comfort of the seat is fantastic. My little one calls this “the comfy car seat”. I love how much adjustability there is in this seat; it can truly serve your needs from infant to big kid! The harness, seat back height and recline angle are all very easy to adjust and straightforward. My one slightly constructive feedback is that the installation with the latch lower anchors is difficult to get as tight as needed. It took a lot of small adjustments. The seat is also quite heavy (maybe the heaviest one I’ve ever lifted?) so it wouldn’t be a great fit if you need to swap the seat between cars often. Overall, this is an incredibly functional piece of baby gear. The quality and safety are top-notch and this thing is built to last. I’m extremely pleased and would highly recommend it!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE this rotating seat I was SO excited to try this rotating car seat! We’ve never had anything like it and I’m up for trying anything that makes it easier to get our almost 3 year old into her car seat. My husband and I read through the manual first and watched an installation video on YouTube. My husband then installed it (rear facing, with the seatbelt) in the center seat of our Honda CR-V. It was so quick and easy and it feels more sturdy than any car seat we’ve used! The belt path is easy to spot with the blue markings and while the rapid lock is a bit hard to press down (I did it myself when I installed it but it took some effort), it is nothing compared to the extreme effort it sometimes takes to install other car seats tightly enough! And that’s it! It is SO quick and easy to install, and it honestly doesn’t budge. As long as it’s an inch of movement or less it’s safe, but this doesn’t move at all. I’m so impressed. Adjusting the crotch buckle was very simple, as was raising the straps (done with the easy headrest lift) to be just below our daughter’s shoulders. The rotating feature makes getting our daughter into the seat and buckled so much easier than in her normal, non-rotating seat! She’s tall and I normally have to lift her high (and sometimes accidentally bonk her head on the ceiling of the car!) to get her into the seat. With this seat rotated towards me, it’s so simple to sit her right in and get her safely buckled. The only thing I find difficult with the whole car seat is tightening the straps. I’m used to getting slack out of the straps by pulling on them from the back of her other car seat and then pulling the tightening strap, and that’s not an option with this one. I think it’s just something I have to get used to, because I CAN get the straps tight enough, I just have to pull very hard a few times with the strap. Overall, we are loving this seat. The cooling fabric is very soft and smooth and in warmer weather will likely be sooo nice to have. Easy installation, amazing rotating feature (my favorite part, of course!), and comfortable (says our daughter. “This is sooo cool!”)! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this convertible car seat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome seat I have 3.5 year old twins and we have used many car seats! My twins are still rear facing and I love this City Turn car seat. I am a huge fan of the Rapidlock install, it’s probably my favorite feature! It makes installation easy and you can feel that you have a tight and secure fit. I also really like the adjustable incline and the no-rethread harness. The harness adjusts very smoothly and is quick and easy to do. I can easily adjust the seat to best fit each of my kids. The fabric is really nice, it looks high-end and very easy to clean. My kids think the rotation is so cool! It helps them actually want to sit in the seat. The rotation gives me a better visual to how the straps fit, especially if they are wiggling. It’s amazing to be able to just set them in the seat and be able to clearly see that they are safe and secure. There is no twisting on my part and it is so much easier on my body! Overall the seat is extremely user friendly, the belt baths and bubble levels are clearly marked. I’d definitely recommend this car seat and I wish I had it when my twins were younger! Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this convertible car seat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Safe and Comfortable Wow, we are really impressed with this car seat! It was so easy to install and adjust. My kiddo is at the bigger end of using this car seat, so my install is forward-facing with the vehicle seatbelt. The lock-off mechanism for installing with this method is SO EASY! I loved that. The seat itself is very heavy; it feels incredibly sturdy and stable. The cushion and fabric is comfortable and looks great, plus it hasn’t stained (yet)! The straps are easy to pull and haven’t been getting twisted. My only regret is that my kid is too big to try out the year-facing turn feature, which sounds amazing. Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing this car seat for my family to test and review. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Safe and convenient car seat for years to come The Baby Jogger City Turn has all the features I could ever want in a car seat. Most importantly, the installation was very easy and was marked by colors and leveling bubbles. I love the fail-proof seat belt installation in both forward and rear-facing and felt confident installation was correct. No tugging and fighting required. Latch installation was possible as well and was stored in a small compartment in the seat. I love the soft, coolMax material and the amount of padding throughout the seat. My child felt very comfortable riding in this seat. The seat has several different inclines in both forward and rear facing, which made it even more comfortable to adjust the seat to fit my child. Adjusting the headrest up and down, just took the push of a button. One of my favorite features of this car seat is the turning base. With one hand, the base turns, so I could easily buckle my child in. I felt so much more confident I was getting a safe and proper buckle, when the seat and child were facing me. This feature also made getting my child into the seat so much easier - no more head bumps and strained backs. There is a dishwasher safe, removable cup holder which can go on either side. I love that it can be easily cleaned! The seat is heavy and does sit high. Overall, this is a very convenient and safe car seat that will accommodate my little one for years to come. Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this seat to test and review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable car seat makes getting in a breeze I was given this convertible car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I am so glad I got to try it. My three-year-old and I love the turning feature. I love it because turning the car seat towards the door means one less step, and that means my child doesn't delay getting in as much. She loves the fun of turning. The seat is super easy to adjust with a button for height, and very comfortable. My little one finds it more comfortable than the model we previously owned. My favorite thing about the city turn is that it's great for staying rear facing longer, because the turn feature also offers more leg room. I am excited to try out the moisture-wicking, cooling fabric in the summer. I live in Los Angeles, so that is very important to me. I appreciate that the fabric looks sleek. The seatbelt adjustment took a little getting used to: you have to bring all the excess belt up into shoulders in order to tighten to the correct amount. But I like that you cannot overtighten it since I was always nervous about the straps being too loose in my previous car seat. My only complaint about the seat is that the pad that covers the between the legs buckle likes to fall off, so I put it back on frequently, but the features of this seat greatly outweigh that. I installed the car seat using latch, and found it pretty straightforward with the help of the manual. I like the click to lock feature because it means getting the seat installed correctly is easy, and I also like that you can install it all from one side, rather than having a step to complete on each side of the car seat. This is all-in-all a fantastic, and well thought out car seat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice car seat but needs improvements Overall, this car seat is pretty good, but some minor improvements could make it great! My favorite feature of the car seat is the rotation. It definitely makes getting my toddler in and out of the car fast, easy, and fun. He even like that it rotated compared to his other car seats. I wish this feature could be used in forward facing mode in addition to rear facing. My next favorite feature is how easy it was to install. The RAPIDLOCK makes installation take only a few minutes. I used the seat in both rear facing and forward facing modes, both were very fast and simple installations. It took me longer to remove my mother-in-law's car seat than it did for me to install this one in her car. I also like that this seat can be used up to 65lbs, which means I will be using it for a while since my little guy is only about 25lbs currently. The moisture wicking fabric was also nice. Living in Florida makes an already sweaty boy even sweatier. This fabric did a good job of keeping him dry and comfortable, however, it did seem to stain a little after a couple long car rides. I liked the adjustable headrest that makes moving the harness to the right position very easy, but this seems to be pretty standard in most car seats these days. This brings me to the improvements I think this car seat needs. The first minor improvement that would make this car seat great is having the harness pads connect to keep them in place. They fall down when loosening the harness (gravity, I know), and when you put your child back into the seat it is a little bit of a hassle to keep them in the right spot as you tighten the harness. The next thing that would help this car seat is having the buckle cushion connect to something to keep it in place. I think every time I was putting my son in or taking him out of the seat, that little cushion came off the buckle and I had to put it back. My son also suggested that it have two cup holders. I'm not sure why, but he kept asking for another one. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this convertible car seat.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not a great carseat if you have a smaller car I currently have two kids who are rear facing. I am a small woman and after lifting, awkwardly turning and weirdly stretching to get my kids in and out of their car seats, I was beyond thrilled to have received the City Turn through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. It swivels in the rear position giving you easier access to get your kid in and out of the car, which is amazing! I take car safety very seriously and allowed myself a lot of time to explore and test out this car seat. The Pros: -The manual (front to back, yes I read it all) was easy to understand for proper use and installation. -The moisture-wicking, cooling fabric feels so nice, the color is beautiful, and from what I can gather from my 2 year old, it's comfortable. It was really easy to adjust the height of the car seat to fit my kiddo as well as properly strap him in. -The swivel rotation offered by this car seat is amazing. Turns so smoothly and made strapping in my kid so much easier.  Cons: -Here is where I had a hard time with this car seat. Our family has a 4 door sedan. Placing the car seat in the car was fine. However, the car seat needs to rotate open to gain access to the RAPIDLOCK panel. When the seat is rotated outward, it takes up more space than a traditional convertible car seat which required us to move the driver seat forward. We are shorter people so the driver seat is already pretty forward compared to most. This wouldn't be a big problem if it was just for the installation process, but we quickly realized we would need to move the driver seat forward every time we wanted to use the rotation function. So for our particular family, that means we constantly need to mess around with our driver seat position in order to use this function of the car seat, which isn't that practical. -The RAPIDLOCK worked just as the manual said it would. Very easy to follow the colors and figure out where and how the seat belt needs to be threaded.  However, getting the proper leverage and strength to pull the seat belt tight enough before closing the RAPIDLOCK panel was really hard with this seat. The convertible car seats we purchased previously (does not swivel) allows us space to stand between the back of the car seat and the driver seat. This gives us the ability to use our body weight while we push down on the seat and pull on the seat belt to make sure the seat is really snug and doesn't move when the locking mechanism is in place. Because this seat needs to be in the swivel position to gain access to the RAPIDLOCK, there is no space to stand behind and push down (at least in our car) and even if there was, it is very hard to gain any leverage due to the position the seat is in when installing. I was not confident with how much I could tighten the seat belt and asked my husband to try. He was able to tighten the seat belt a bit more but after locking the RAPIDLOCK we were super disappointed to observe how much the seat moved-both side to side and back to front. Our oldest is 4. We have installed and uninstalled many car seats in our days and never have we had trouble like we did with this seat. We tried 3 times to get it to stay snug but no matter how much we pulled and pushed, we couldn't get the seat to be secure. Unfortunately I am saddened to say that I don't feel comfortable using this seat. Great idea and design, but for my husband and I, we couldn't get it to tighten appropriately in our smaller car.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Car Seat I have two kiddos and have owned many car seats. The features on the City Turn looked too good to be true, but I have to admit, I have been surprised and very impressed. In the past, it's taken me up to 10 minutes to install my other car seats in my cars, but the City Turn was so easy to install! The directions were clear and using the seat belt of the car made it super easy, and trust me that thing is not going anywhere! It's about the same size as others, rear facing for my 8-month old, so I didn't have to push the seats forward or anything more than any other normal car seat. The moment of truth came when using the best feature of all, the turn and load, as I like to call it. I absolutely loved being able to turn the car seat for loading/unloading my baby. Not only was it easy to put my child in the car seat, but he was also super happy being able to look at me and made things smoother for all! I haven't owned it long enough to know how well the fabric is, but I've had no issues and nothing has gotten dirty, even in our long 10 hour trip to see family. One thing I do wish it had is 2 cup holders instead of just the one it comes with. Right now, my second son is too young to really use the cup holders, but my older son fills both cup holders of his car seat with all kinds of things, so I do think this is something that could be improved in the future. Other than that, this really is a perfect car seat, and my back will continue to thank me as I no longer have to lean all the way in to get my kid in the right position. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this convertible car seat, and allowing me to put it to the test during our long trip!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super easy and comfy This car seat is pretty awesome. It was extremely easy to use and the material is soft and comfortable. My two year old is on the small side and I feel like this seat gives him safe support while leaving him plenty of room to grow. The rotation is an incredible feature that I can still appreciate but would have been over the moon for when he was extra tiny. My favorite feature…don’t laugh…is the removable cup holder! As a mom of several boys I really appreciate being able to remove and clean as needed. I was given this convertible car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Must have for refacing infants This car seat is so neat and cool! No joke, seriously it really is! I love the ease of how you can twist it around without having to unstrap and remove harness from car. One simple maneuver and the seat can be twisted to rotate around. I love this. I wish I had a car seat like this for my baby when she faced the rear. The car seat does expand with age. My toddler is now 3 and faces forward. There is a lot of padding and cushion for babies and infants but that is removed for older little ones. I wish it had a little more cushion or padding in the back and head area when raised higher for older babies. The fabric is nice and helps keep little ones cool. My daughter sweats a lot in car seats. However, she did not sweat while using this one. I only marked it down one star for the padding. Otherwise I highly recommend this car seat especially if it’s for an infant. I received the product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes the car seat experience so much easier I have four kiddos and am currently pregnant with my fifth. My youngest kiddo currently is a hulk of a child, 99th percentile and crazy strong. Trying to fight him into his car seat with my 6 month pregnant belly can definitely get tiresome, and even painful sometimes, pretty quickly. With the City Turn, that is a thing of the past! The way it rotates makes it so much easier to put my son in his car seat and just rotate him back to his safe rear-facing position. I also love that he can stay rear-facing for a little bit longer than some other car seats even though he is rather tall. The rear-facing goes until 50lbs so I am not worried about him outgrowing that before the height! He is also a bit of a sweaty sleeper so the cool, air-wicking fabric is amazing. Granted, it's winter time, so we haven't gotten to test it too much but I love the premise and am excited to see how it handles in the summer-time. The install was a cinch. It was so easy! I have always been a huge fan of the LATCH system, but the belt-tension method is ridiculously quick and easy too. It makes me feel super confident that he is safe in the case of any mishaps. Overall, I love that this seat rotates and I love that my son is so comfortable in it. I received it from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I am incredibly grateful! I might even buy another one for our newest little once they have outgrown their infant seat. If you're on the fence, do it! It is worth every penny for the convenience, safety features, and having a comfortable happy kiddo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW I was gifted the City Turn car seat by Stellar Parent Panel testing and am completely blown away! My 14 month old son absolutely hates being in the car and would previously back arch whenever we tried to put him in his car seat. Now we have the City Turn, I am able to swivel the seat to put him in, instead of awkwardly trying to find the straps while I combat a protesting baby. This car seat is beautifully made with yoga-pant like material, making it visually appealing and comfortable. It was extremely simple to install and the instructions and videos were easy to follow along with. The thing that I love most about the City Turn is that it grows with my son. There is a newborn insert that I will absolutely be using with my next child. I love that it can convert from a back facing seat, to a forward facing seat. This car seat is truly one of a kind and I am SO happy I was introduced to the City Turn. I give this product an 11/10 and will be recommending it to all my friends!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rotating Seat is a Game Changer The City Turn convertible carseat is truly fantastic in both forward and rear-facing modes. I used it with my 3.5 year old (forward facing) and my 5 month old (rear facing). The rotating feature when it’s in rear-facing mode is such a game-changer. The rotation lever is easy to use with one hand and it swivels in a really smooth motion. I love being able to spin my baby to face me to get him in and out of the seat. This is by far my favorite feature! I’m a fan of anything that makes my life even just a bit easier. I’m also a fan of anything that helps keep my kids cool in the car, because we live in a very hot climate, so the cooling fabric gets two thumbs up from me. The fabric has a very high-end feel and it’s thankfully machine washable! The no-rethread headrest is super easy to adjust and I was able to quickly reposition the buckle to the slot that best fit my child. The Rapidlock Lock-Off makes installation easy, but the seat is extremely heavy, so it’s definitely not one you’d want to switch back and forth between cars very often. I wouldn’t recommend it lugging it through an airport for travel. The only other downside is that you can only use the rotating feature in rear-facing mode, so you lose out on that special feature once your kid is big enough to ride forward facing. My 3.5 year old enjoys it as a forward-facing seat, though, and says it’s very comfortable. The straps are easy to tighten and I like that the seat comes with a built-in cupholder. Overall this is a swanky seat with features that make it really convenient to use. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this convertible car seat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Back Saving Car Seat The Baby Jogger City Turn has been a true treat. You wouldn’t think a change of 10 inches closer to the outside of the car would make a difference loading and unloading the kiddo, but man, it makes a huge difference. My back has been thanking me since we installed it, and it is our go-to car seat now. Let’s take a deeper dive into the review. First, the pros. Things my wife and I have loved about the City Turn compared to previous car seats are that it was super simple to install, easily rotates and locks to make for easy loading and unloading, easy tighten harness system and has a slightly higher sitting position of the child. Our previous model car seat also had a RAPIDLOCK installation system for use with the seatbelt, but I noticed that the City Turn was extremely solid in the seat. I had to give a little more force to complete the locking mechanism, but once it was in place, the base of the car seat didn’t budge which is a huge plus on safety for us. Speaking of safety, we love that Baby Jogger went above and beyond with rollover, side-impact and rear-impact testing so that we know our kid is extra safe on interstate travel during the holiday season. For loading our toddler, the rotating mechanism was super easy to use and was a simple lever that just requires a squeeze. It also is definitely out of reach of the kiddo while sitting in the seat so no worries about unexpected joy rides for the kid. As for loosening and tightening the harness, my wife hated my old car seat and found tightening the harness very difficult and awkward because of the angle she had to pull at. With the City Turn though, with the ability to rotate the seat and being able to pull straight out or up to tighten the harness, she found this car seat easy. Last, something I personally noticed was that I had a difficult time finding mirrors to fit the headrest of my SUV, and my old car seat sat lower which left me only being able to see my baby’s head during travel. However, the City Turn base sits a little higher which has raised her so that I can now see her head and entire torso which is a huge plus. Now for the cons. Things that I think could still be improved in the City Turn is the rotating mechanism. Although it is super easy to use and locks back into place for safe travel, it does not lock in the rotated position. When trying to load my child while parked on a hill, the seat tends to turn slightly as you’re getting your kid into the seat. The City Turn also only comes with 1 cup holder and our child got used to having 2 cup holders for her drink and snacks and that has been a switch for her. Lastly, because the seat turns, there is a slight gap between the edge of the car seat and the normal seat which has become an abyss for toys, cups or bottles during road trips. Overall, the City Turn has been a treat for me, and I’d give it 9/10 stars. It is a thousand times easier on my arms and back to load my kid, and I can easily see if she is sitting in the car seat crooked or not during loading. The gap between the top of my SUV door frame and edge of my old car seat was small, and my kid was getting a thicker skull by the day from the amount of times she bumped her head getting in our out. With the City Turn though, not one head butt yet to the edge of the car door. I am excited to see how the City Turn’s cool and moisture-wicking fabric performs come summertime in North Carolina. Being winter, there is not much of a difference to be seen yet, but my baby runs hot so it will be interesting to see if she is less sweaty after long car rides. Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this convertible car seat. My wife and I love it, and we super stoked to receive it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Needs a better installation system There are many great things about the City Turn. First, it’s made to handle newborns (rear facing from 4-50 lbs) and growing children (forward facing from 22-65 lbs and 49” tall). The seat is solid and heavy, weighing about 28 pounds. It comes with removable inserts for a newborn, all very plush and soft. It’s premium material that provides supportive cushioning for a child. The infant inserts are for use in rear-facing mode only, but there is an additional lumbar support for young toddlers weighing up to 25 lbs that can also be used when forward-facing. How the inserts attach to one another and into the car seat is quite elegant; they snap together or use Velcro flaps to attach to the seat. Additionally, it has a removable cup holder, which is very handy. There are 3 rear-facing recline positions and 2 recline position for forward-facing and the head rest has multiple height positions to accommodate children as they grow. The straps are easily adjustable and can be changed with the child seated. The seat clearly looks like it was designed to handle impact and I felt that my child would be safe and protected. It meets and exceeds FVMSS regulations and is FAA approved for use on an aircraft in forward-facing mode. Now, the City Turn is touted to swivel and it does, but ONLY in rear-facing. That fact isn’t abundantly clear when you first read the description for the car seat, which made me quite disappointed after I started installing it forward-facing. I imagine the rotation and having the seat closer would be useful when placing infants, but I didn't try it with my toddler. I’ve installed a fair number of car seats and prefer to test the ease of installation by trying before reading the manual. This seat is NOT one where you simply try to figure it out without the manual. I spent a solid 45 min stumbling my way through installation and it was beyond frustrating. Read the manual first because it is NOT self-explanatory. Also to note, I did not use the lower anchors for installation because even after many attempts, I could not get the seat to feel remotely tight or secure with the lower anchors. So, I stuffed them back into the little compartment in the front of the base. Opting to use the seat belt instead, I first detached the tether anchor in the back of the seat. The belt path and RAPIDLOCK system is exposed by raising the headrest all the way up. After threading the seat belt through the belt path and locking it with the RAPIDLOCK, the seat is supposed to be secure. Sounds simple and straightforward, right? The directions are simple, but after many, many attempts, the seat still moves more than 1” and does not feel as secure as other car seats I’ve used. It’s simply wobbly and a bit unstable and the RAPIDLOCK system does not tighten the seat belt as much as I've seen with other similar systems. That’s my biggest concern with this seat. Overall, it’s a well-padded seat with nice features and can be used for a very long time for a child The swivel function I’m sure is handy, but the biggest drawback is how unsecure it feels. While I thank the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this convertible car seat, I would not recommend it for others

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Baby Jogger City Turn I was lucky enough to be given this product from the Stellar Product Testing Panel to try out and I have to say this thing is massive!! We've already gone through 2 other car seats with our 2.5 year old who is also very big for her age and this was just a bit too small for her (99 percentile so likely fine for most). While the turning element was a big up side for smaller babies, it wasn't as useful for older children and I think I prefer the detachable car seat/stroller that can clip in and out. If you've already got a stroller and looking for something to make life a little easier, I can see this being a good fit! We have a larger SUV and the size was not a problem. It was super comfortable-looking and the gray fabric seems like it would be reasonable to clean. I would recommend putting a seat protector down first as the bottom is large and left an indent. That said, it was easy to install and fit to our needs. Overall a cool option to have but not my go-to recommendation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and convenient The turning feature on this car seat is so convenient! My daughter is almost 2, so she is getting heavier, and it was especially hard to get her into her old seat sometimes. The City Turn makes it much easier to get her in and out, and it is easy to operate - the button to turn is super user friendly. And my daughter loves it too, she thinks it’s fun! There’s also a lot of room for her legs, which is nice because she’s tall. The material is great too, it looks very high end and I love the neutral colors. Would definitely recommend! I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love that it rotates I was given this convertible car seat to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The rotation is my absolute favorite feature of this car seat! I love it. Literally a feature that I never knew I NEEDED. It’s super convenient. It makes wrangling a toddler in and out of the seat so much easier compared to a traditional car seat. It’s easier to get her out for diaper changes, and most things in general. It helps with feeding too. It’s easier to pick her up when she’s fallen asleep, so I can imagine it being just as useful for a baby. I know it’s more comfortable for her because she falls asleep much more in this seat compared to her previous one. She tends to run hot so I’m sure the moisture-wicking, cooling fabric helps. She loves it and I love her being more comfortable! I like the rear-facing limit on this seat because she can stay this way for a while if she’d like to, and she seems to be comfortable doing so. Installation was easy and quick. I like how easily adjustable it is too. We were able to remove the baby insert and raise the headrest easily. Truly can see this as something that grows with her.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from YOU NEED this seat All I can say is Wow! The City Turn car seat is the most amazing car seat I've ever seen or had the pleasure to own. I am unable to use the turn function as my daughter is front facing because she is almost 27 months now and forward facing, but I of course tried this feature out and I 100 percent wish I could have had this seat from day one of birth! it is so amazing! The seat is very secure when installed correctly, and being able to turn the seat to load the baby in, is a wonderful option. You're not all twisted, or hunched up in the car trying to get your baby in. You can see everything perfectly, it's so much easier to adjust baby and adjust the straps etc. The seat is heavier than some of the other seats on the market, but it's not an issue really unless you're transferring the seat from car to car on a regular basis. This City Turn car seat is very very easy to install. Just follow the easy to read directions and it's all good. The bottom of the seat flips to adjust for forward facing or rear facing mode. Seat is super easy to adjust the base hight with the lever. It suprised me because the previous seat I had it was very hard to adjust it. Where you install the seatbelt/LATCH inside the seat, it is very upscale and easy to use to make sure that car seat is solid as a rock when installing. The ends of the LATCH are also the push button kind so very easy to take off when needed. Ever use those prong type ones other seats have? Yeah, very hard to get them off. For padding, the seat and pads are nice and plush. There are a few different removable pads that are easy to take off and put on. There is air slits along the sides of the seat to keep the airflow going so baby or toddler doesn't get too hot. Very nice seat for long car rides. Since my daughter is forward facing, that's how I have this seat installed in my car. I noticed that she sits up higher in the City Turn seat. I like that because she can see out the window better, and it is easier for me to get her into the seat. The City Turn seat really is the future of car seats. Excellent quality, upscale, and the mechanics of the seat are amazing! If you are a new mom, second, third, fourth time mom, YOU NEED this seat! I can't recommend it enough, it's amazing! I received this sweet City Turn car seat for free in exchange for my honest review! Thank you so much Stellar Product Testing Panel!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Incredible concept Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this convertible car seat. What an incredible concept and innovative design for a car seat! As a parent with back problems, this car seat was a game changer for me. The ability to turn the car seat (one handed) to face me in order to load and unload my daughter is life changing! Installation was a breeze with the rapid lock feature, the colored belt paths, easy latch system, and bubble levels. Getting the right fit for my daughter was seamless with the no rethread harness and different levels of recline. The material was incredibly soft and breathable too! The only cons I had were in the details, which at this price point should be considered. The padding on the crotch buckle is not secured and flew off every time I took my daughter out. I ended up securing it with a rubber band which worked great. It also lacks padding on the leg straps, which I would expect to be present. Finally, there is nowhere to tuck in the buckles after unbuckling the child. This is such a small detail but one that is unbelievably helpful and is present on most car seats at this price point. Overall, an incredible car seat design!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One stylish ride We recently started using the City Turn for our toddler. Because of her size we could not take advantage of the swivel option, but that would come in handy for our next infant. My daughter seems very comfortable in it, it seems roomy to her without being too bulky in my car. I also can easily see how she can grow and it will continue to fit her comfortably. I personally love the stylish simplistic design and it's easy to get her out and clip her in. Installing it was a bit more cumbersome than I had anticipated, but if you are keeping it in one car that would not be an ongoing hurdle. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this convertible car seat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Every parent needs this innovative car seat! Wow is the first word that come to mind. This car seat makes transitioning in and out of the car seat a breeze. My son love when he goes on his “ride” aka swiveling back into place after he is buckled in. It is a heavy car seat but I was able to install myself. I really love the quality of the fabric too, it feels luxurious. Well done Baby Jogger!
