Description
The city select® LUX Second Seat Kit converts your single stroller into a double stroller. The full-sized seat can hold a child up to 45 lb. When not in use, the second seat folds up to be 60% smaller than the city select® seat! It features an extended UV 50+ canopy, a reclining seat, and adjustable calf support. Kit includes the second seat and its mounting brackets. Now it's easy to keep your growing family riding along!

Very unhappy
I just read over the reviews and see that I'm not the only disgruntled parent with this stroller looking to grow with my family.
Imagine my surprise when only a year later the model is discontinued and now Im forced to spend hundreds of dollars because I have to purchase a whole new stroller. Going from simply needing a seat to having to purchase a brand new product is extremely disappointing! But I can promise you it wont be a baby jogger if this is what I have to look forward to.

Soooo DISAPPOINTED!!!
My daughter is only 1 1/2 and expecting a baby sister and we cant even buy a second seat attachment. Our stroller is in great shape like new. Would have never bought if id have known they would discontinue! Who could afford spending hundreds more on a brand new stroller when they just did a couple years prior?! Baby jogger sucks. Will never buy again or recommend to my mommy friends

Waste money in hope it to grow with family
Had the city select lux for my 1st child, in hope of expecting to add on second for the 2nd baby. Only to find out the 2nd seat is discontinued, and the stroller I bought is not able to expand any more! No wonder I can’t find the second to purchase any where! So disappointed. I barely enjoy this stroller for a year, now I have to look for another stroller option:(

Frustrated/saddened
I’ve had this stroller for about 1.5 yrs now and ready to grow it as my family is growing, which really is the only reason why I went with this one specifically. I held off purchasing the addition seat thinking surely the worst case scenario would be I’d end up with a different color seat but I was clearly wrong. Now I have to figure out financially what is best for my growing family and where to reinvest my money which is extremely frustrating knowing I put a lot of time research and money into this original stroller.

For a “family” but can’t find a second seat
I literally bought this 8 months ago after having my first child. The ONLY reason I bought it was because it could grow to hold two children. There was NOTHING about it being discontinued soon when I bought it. Here I am going to buy the second seat to grow with my family and there is no option? I don’t understand why you wouldn’t continue to sell the accessories for a few years after discontinuing the product. This is super unfair and bad business. I’m disappointed and will not buy any more BJ for this reason.

A discontinued disappointment.
I purchased this stroller for my first born in hopes of growing it with our family. We picked this higher end stroller for that reason. The granite color faded and when I went to replace it I found out it was discontinued. So disappointing. Now I am stuck with a faded stroller, no replacement parts and no chance of a second seat. Would have been nice to know. I’ll definitely be going with a different company for my next stroller.

I love my lux stroller. The reason i bought it was because i knew it could turn into a double stroller in the future and now tht im expecting my second im so disappointed it’s discontinued. I dont have money for a brand new stroller and my stroller is in perfectttt condition! Its not even 2 yrs old yet! Super bummed

Ridiculous and Frustrating
My wife and I purchased the City Select Lux with hopes to “Grow with your family”. Everything has now been discontinued and there are no parts that are compatible. It’s ridiculous and frustrating that we now need to purchase and entirely new stroller system to “Grow with your family”. Had we known this experience would be completely misleading and a waste of money, we would have went with UPPAbaby or Nuna.

I am so frustrated that this seat was unavailable for so long. I finally was able to purchase it but to be honest, this stroller is bulky and heavy with both seats. I would not recommend the stroller or second seat.

Feel Likes A Robbery!
I bought this stroller when I was pregnant with my daughter because my son was only 1 at the time. Was so excited about the option to have this grow with my family and be able to transition once my daughter grew out of the smaller seat. Imagine my surprise when only a year later the model is discontinued and now Im forced to spend hundreds of dollars because I have to purchase a whole new stroller. Going from simply needing a seat to having to purchase a brand new product is extremely disappointing! But I can promise you it wont be a baby jogger if this is what I have to look forward to. smh.

So disappointed in this brand. How can you discontinue a stroller and not still offer the accessory parts to its current users? That’s horrible business practice. This stroller does not “grow with your family”. I will be telling my friends to stay away from this brand. I cannot believe I have to buy a whole new stroller.

Absolute Waste of Money!!
We purchased the city select stroller about 1.5 years ago to grow with our family. I just had my second baby and went to purchase the extra seat attachment and found out that they discontinued this model. I spent $500 plus other attachments for me to now not be able to use it. This is completely unacceptable and I refuse to ever support or buy another item from this company!

Great stroller but discontinued
I bought this stroller for my growing family and spent a lot of money on it only last year but now it’s discontinued. I feel I’ve wasted money because I can’t find accessory parts and it’s not compatible with new models. Shame on you baby jogger.

Bought this stroller with intent of our family growing and the option to seat another child. I cannot find a second seat anywhere!! Horrible to advertise for this when it is no longer available even through outside retailers. I cannot afford to buy a whole new stroller!

I bought the city select lux stroller back in 2020 for my first child, and also recommend my sister-in-law to buy the same stroller. Now I am expecting the second child, and realize the second seat kit is no longer available to purchase. Very disappointed.

Go with the Uppa Baby Stroller
I got this stroller not even a year ago for my first baby. I went to buy the tray and found out that they discontinued the stroller. I only got this stroller so I could eventually add the second seat when we have a second baby. I’m extremely upset that they would discontinue the stroller and not provide options for accessories for those who already have the stroller. Will not be purchasing anymore baby jogger products.

Can no longer find second stroller
Looking to find an additional seat for our stroller in Canada and have been having a hard time only to see that it’s now discontinued. I was looking at just getting a city select sea but it looks like they aren’t compatible according to another review so I’m not sure what we will do now. Disappointed with this because we had originally bought it to eventually grow with us.

Discontinued- waste of money
I bought this stroller because I thought that it would grow with my family as a double stroller. I had the stroller for just over a year and went to add the second seat to my registry to find out it is discontinued and I can’t find the matching products to make my stroller into a double. It’s just doesn’t make sense to discontinue products that are still currently being used and needed by so many people. Seems like an easy way to make more money which is very unfortunate.

Do not buy any baby jogger products unless you want to lose out on money. I purposely bought this stroller on two years ago for my first expecting it to “grow with my family”. Now I’m expecting my second and can’t buy any additional attachments. Now I have to buy a whole new stroller and it certainly won’t be Baby Jogger name brand. How could you possibly discontinue selling the add-ons when you know so many consumers purchased this for this exact reason!? Terrible!

Doesn’t Grow With Your Family!
I bought this stroller for my first child and am SUPER disappointed to find out that it is discontinued and now cannot “grow with our family” when we are about to have our second child. I would not have bought this if I knew it couldn’t grow with us. This is super frustrating when you spend hundreds of dollars on a nice stroller only to have it be unusable when you have a second child!

Loved it for a bit - ended up useless
Bought this in hopes of using for future children and with a cousin born few weeks apart. Unfortunately I purchased the stroller and the frame started locking up to where I have to brute strength it to fold. Then I started using the second seat and a month later same thing happened. Emailed baby jogger (within warranty period) and was told that it was an issue with the frame and I could order the replacement part. I HAD TO PAY TO FIX AN ISSUE THEY WERE AWARE OF! Obviously, I did not and now that it is cold out (below 0) when I went on a walk and came home to close it the frame just snapped. Came here to see if I could order a new one and of course I can't because it is discontinued. Can only hope that this is resolved in the next models...

Not for a growing family
I bought this stroller, thinking in my future growing family.. big mistake . There is no way to find a second seat or a second seat adapter , then i decided that maybe I could try with the bench seat for my toddler y just use my seat for my baby.. another big mistake, there is no way to find the bench or the second seat adapter. Just a complete waste of money. Extremely disappointed. What can baby jogger reply back ?

Would not have wasted money.
I bought this stroller two years ago after months of research specifically because it converted to a double. Now that I am expecting my second it is discontinued and I cannot get any of the accessories to use it for both children. I am now left to spend more money to purchase a double stroller. If I had known I would be stuck in this situation I would have never purchased. Such a waste and I feel like I was scammed out of $500.

I am extremely frustrated, I bought this stroller for my first child about 2 years ago and spent a lot of money. I really liked the stroller and was looking to add the additional seat for our child coming in April. Unfortunately, due to the fact that I can no longer buy this stroller, I now have to spend more money to buy a completely different stroller. If I would have know this two years ago, I would have never spent this amount of money. I am extremely disappointed and will ensure no one I know invests in this company due to the fact that I have now wasted money.
