Description
The city select® LUX Second Seat Kit converts your single stroller into a double stroller. The full-sized seat can hold a child up to 45 lb. When not in use, the second seat folds up to be 60% smaller than the city select® seat! It features an extended UV 50+ canopy, a reclining seat, and adjustable calf support. Kit includes the second seat and its mounting brackets. Now it's easy to keep your growing family riding along!

Very Upset
I bought the City Select Lux in 2021. I specifically chose it over the uppa baby for the bench seat. Now that I’m expecting my second, I find out that the stroller is discontinued and you cannot find a bench seat or second seat anywhere! This is very upsetting that such a new stroller you cannot get parts for and it is not interchangeable with any other baby jogger parts. It would have been nice to know at least they were planning to discontinue so I could not have bought it, or bought the parts I needed before it sold out. What a waste of money.

Very Disappointed
Bought the Baby Jogger Lux less than two years ago for my first son and now have a second baby and I can’t purchase second seat!? This came highly recommended by my sister in law’s that also own baby joggers but after hearing of it being discontinued and they are not compatible our family will no longer be purchasing any of your products! What a waste of money! How disappointing and frustrating this has been!

I love my city select luxury stroller. I purchased it with the expectation that it could grow as our family does. Now that I’m searching for a second seat with the arrival of our second it looks like that is not an option without purchasing a whole new stroller. How disappointing.

WILL NEVER SPEND ANOTHER DOLLAR ON BABY JOGGER
I bought this stroller under two years ago - my son is only 20 months and I’m due with my second soon! We purchased this to grow with us, yet baby jogger fails AGAIN and does not have parts to make the second seat. I will NEVER spend another dime and will only spend money on their competitors as their customer service says “we have another model available”. Basically baby jogger is only about the money and I currently do not have $600-$800 to purchase another stroller to fit my new family. If this isn’t resolve I will Insta blog blast baby jogger!

Discontinued 2nd Seat $800 mistake
Like hundreds of other couples, we just had our second child only to find out that we cannot grow with our City Select LUX stroller set up. They discontinued all their accessories for their 2nd seat expansion and was told by the manager of Buy Buy Baby to return our entire LUX set up and purchase the City Select 2 for an additional $800 plus $200 for each accessory. I can’t begin to tell you how frustrating this is. WARNING: the manager advised us to not contact City Select directly because they will not support this situation because they “already made their money”. Does this company deserve our loyalty? Should we continue to invest in their products? You tell me!!

Unbelievable it’s discontinued and we can’t get a
We bought this for our first child and love the product, but now that our second has been born we saw that the product is discontinued and we can’t buy a second seat so we’re completely screwed? How is this right that we can’t grow with our family? We spent a ton of money and I refuse to buy a new stroller because if this. Why couldn’t you just make the city select 2 seat for this one? You need to do something about this for us.

Need Second Seat!
I got the city select lux stroller in 2020 after several friends recommended it, and planned to buy the second seat down the road. Now that we are expecting baby 2 in March, I went to order a second seat and was extremely disappointed to find out that it’s been discontinued! Baby Jogger- what’s your solution here? If I’m going to be forced to buy a new double stroller, it certainly won’t be a Baby Jogger after this experience!

We have a city select lux stroller which in itself is quite a nice stroller and of course like many others hoped it would grow with our family our oldest is a little over two and our newest is a month old and now I have learned I cannot get a second seat and a second seat adapter virtually anywhere even the store is here like West Coast kids and Buy Buy Baby who sell your brand of products say that the lux stroller was a far superior product than the new City Select 2 it's too bad I can't get this and will now have to transition to a different company if I want to be able to have both babies one stroller.

So disappointed and feel deceived
I love my stroller
I bragged about it to everyone about how perfect it was- I would have shouted your names to the rooftops!
And then you crushed all my faith in your company by discontinuing this stroller. Nothing is interchangeable.
Not only can it not grow with my family it can’t even be customized to my families needs because there are absolutely zero accessories on the market anymore.
So all I did was buy a Really expensive stroller that is only going to last me about 2 years.
And now because it’s notoriously known to be a disappointment it’s resell value has gone down too

Thought I wouldn’t be able to convert to a double!
I bought the city select LUX in 2019 with anticipation to convert it to a double stroller when we have another baby… little did I know, this model is discontinued and looking online at private sellers, the prices are outrageous just for the adapter bars! I emailed baby jogger and the customer service was very prompt. They helped me gather my model number and low and behold, they connected me with the right seat adapter combo to make our stroller into a double. I’m so relieved!

So baby jogger refused to post my initial review on this. I loved this company I even have purchased summit x3 jogger which I love. However it’s disappointing they discontinued the lux additional seats because now that my family is expanding I can’t just buy another seat I have to buy an entire new stroller.

Don’t be fooled- will not grow with your family
This company is trash. How can they discontinue the old model without making adapters or continue to sell the other seat. Anyone thinking of buy this stroller as a “grow with your family” beware because they will change the model on you and you can’t get a second seat unless you use a third party website that doesn’t even have the correct colors.

Discontinued with no Notice
We bought this stroller in 2021 so it can grow with our family. Now we are expecting our second and we can’t get a second seat as it’s been discontinued. You discontinue products and make new products incompatible. I can not trust your company to not do this to us again. We have spent so much money and we love our city select lux but without the second seat or bench seat, it can’t grow with our family. We are out hundreds of dollars and now we have to spend more again on a second stroller. This is horrible customer service and is a huge mistreatment of thousands of families like ourselves who are in this situation. I can’t trust baby jogger to not create false obsolescence again if we were to purchase the city select 2

Do not even try to purchase this
I had emailed the company, asking for a second seat for the City Selwcr Lux stroller. They sent me a link to this, I purchased it for $250, never heard anything for a week, so I emailed and called several times. Finally on day 13 they email to say it has been canceled. Very disappointed that I cannot get another seat for my stroller when I have two babies under two!

Discontinued and disappointed
I really liked this stroller and this easily could have been a top stroller with some changes. Now that they have disconnected the stroller, the LUX is almost pointless to own it since our family has grown. Like most other parents we purchased this with the intention of using it in conjunction with our first child but now they don’t sell the matching second seat. It’s ready disappointing because we purchased the city go 2 and the LUX together in mid 2020 and just over 2 years later we can no longer use it since our second child is almost fully out of the car seat. I wish there was some kind of notice that way I could have snagged the second seat.

I have no idea if this second seat kit exists. I order it a month ago after waiting a year for it to be in stock. It still has not shipped. Customer service has only been in contact with me one time after multiple attempts via email and phone. They stated there are plenty in the warehouse but cannot provide a reason as to why it has not shipped or when it will be. Go buy an uppababy

Unsatisfied with my experience
Bought this stroller a year and a half ago with hopes to grow my family with it. Turns out it was discontinued shortly after, without warning, and I can’t purchase any new access parts (second seat, tray, etc). I am currently researching other strollers to buy (even though $800 was invested in this one). It’s unfortunate that Baby Jogger doesn’t act on these issues as it’s apparent I’m not the only one in this situation.

Don’t recommend!
I bought this stroller during CV. Time I was expecting my 6th child. Having 6 children as manny know money is always tight and I decided to save up to “invest” in a good stroller that would grow with our family. I just had my 7th child and was excited to use this stroller but now I can’t since I lost one of the sticks for the second seat and can’t seem to find where to purchase one !!! I’m extremely frustrated! I can’t believe I saved up so long for s troller that has no use for me ! I cannot afford another stroller at the time so I’m stuck struggling when I take my children out carrying one while punching the stroller! Please don’t make same mistake
I just saw they have a new as much as I love the quality of the stroller I would not spend with the fear that that same will happen with the next stroller!

I am so disappointed!!
I am a first time mom and LOVED all my baby jogger products (stroller, car seat, and high chair), but when I found out they discontinued my stroller I was livid! As everyone else is wondering, how is that suppose to "grow with my family?" Now I have to find a whole new stroller to fit my second child. We spent over $800 for this travel system and now I have to do that all over again! When I reached out to customer service about this issue, I NEVER RECEIVED A RESPONSE! Even checked by spam just to make sure. What a shame because I really wanted to love this company.

Used to love it, now I can’t buy a second seat!
I’m expecting twins and need a second seat for my city select lux. I’m totally disappointment for many reasons, but mainly the fact that I can’t find a second seat for my stroller. I have countless friends dealing with the same issue. Your company has a great reputation but we are all frustrated. I’m now forced to buy a new stroller completely.. how is that “growing with your family?” I was never notified it would be discontinued, or else I would’ve bought the second seat before all of this happened.
I have absolutely loved everything about this stroller, but now I’m left having to buy a completely new stroller. I’m nervous to buy another baby jogger after my experience.

Good but disappointed with discontinuing product
I received this stroller in May 2021 just before my daughter was born. So excited to get everything I needed as she grew and as our family grew. Looked to buy additional accessories over the year and they were constantly out of stock. I wanted to bug shield, child tray, an additional seat for baby #2. Could never purchase the items as they were out of stock. Finally got the parent console months later when it was available. Bought the Pram but it doesn’t fit with a second seat, so that’s frustrating and doesn’t help when baby 2 arrives. Now I’m learning the City Select Lux is discontinued. I contacted the company over a week ago to find out how to get accessories for the City Select Lux and heard no reply. Only to find out through these other frustrated parents that the City Select Lux model is discontinued. So much wasted money if I can’t buy any additional items for this model to grow with my family. Now what? I bought the car seat for this reason too. I enjoy the features of the seat folding and staying on when folding the stroller and stowing. However, the stroller is heavy and awkward, even for my strong husband.
