Mostly Pros with this Rocker!
I'm a busy mom of 3 so any safe seat, that also occupies my 2 month old, is a winner in my book! I was recently given the opportunity to review the City Sway Rocker by the Stellar Product Testing Panel.
My first impressions of this rocker weren't all positive at first. I have to say that the battery compartment isn't easy to access and I had to flip the seat over and use a flashlight to figure out which size battery it required. The battery size was not labeled on the battery cover, the box, or the instruction manual. Also, I thought that for the price point of this product, it would've had more features. It only vibrates. It does not rock or play music. Now, with these downsides in mind, I wasn't convinced that my baby would be occupied long by this rocker. I was pleasantly surprised that she was entertained by the two toys that hang overhead. The toys are simple but keep her attention for 20 minutes or longer. I found that the seat is perfect for when I need to take a quick shower or make myself a meal. Other features that I like, and are must haves, include the five point harness to keep my baby safe and the plush, high quality materials that the seat is made out of. I am impressed that the rocker also lays down flat for easy storage and has a storage bag to keep it clean. I can keep it under my bed, out of the way, when it's not in use. It is light weight and easy for me to move around my home. I used it the most in my kitchen and bathroom. Adjusting the rocker for the best position is quick and easy. If I needed to travel with it, it would fold down and be compact enough to fit into my mid-sized suv.
Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised and impressed by this rocker. I would recommend it to my friends and family!

Lots of great features!
Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby rocker!
First off, let me say that my baby (8 weeks old) seems to really like this rocker. He will hang out in it for quite a long time - more so than other rockers/bouncers we've used, I think. That is a huge plus in my book...!! This rocker has some great features, however there are some things I would change.
On the plus side, the rocker looks super comfortable for a baby. It has an infant insert as well which is great and I think you'd be able to use it for quite a long time as your baby grows. The seat is well padded, and it's really nice to be able to adjust the straps to different heights to make sure it's the correct position for your baby. You can also adjust the seat to different levels of recline - it's quite easy to do this, although it took me a few tries to figure it out. Once you get it down, it's easy though - and easy to do without disturbing the baby. This might sound funny, but one thing I really like is that if your baby kicks his/her legs while in the rocker, it makes the seat rock - so essentially they sort of rock themselves. My little guy seemed to really like this!! The toy bar is also nice, although it detaches itself from the seat quite easily - it's easy to accidentally knock it out of place.
One really great feature is that the seat folds down flat - so it's really easy to store when not in use. This would make it a great option for grandparents etc. because it can be stored so easily. I like the fact that the seat has a small footprint - we've used other seats which take up a lot more floor space. It's also quite light and easy to move around - I can carry it with one hand if I have the baby in the other hand.
My one major complaint about this seat is that the straps are really not easy to buckle. The seat has a five-point harness which is nice because your baby is nice and secure. However, I found fitting the buckle pieces together quite fiddly. I also have a toddler, and there would be times when I'm fiddling with the buckle trying to get it together while my toddler's calling for me and it would have been easier if the straps were easier to fasten.
Overall, I do think it's a great product and have enjoyed using it!

Bouncer and Rocker in one!
My three month old loved that as soon as I put her in it! It is sleek looking, soothing and versatile. The harness is secure and I know that it is holding my baby safely. You can easily switch from rocking to bouncing. I love that the seat is machine washable and easy to fold flat and travel with or stow away. Two things to note - putting in the batteries was a little challenging they are in an awkward spot and the bouncing feature is not battery operated it is manual. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby rocker.

Nice stow away feature!
I enjoy using Baby Joggers City Sway to help soothe my daughter. Some key features that I think set this bouncer/rocker apart are: a strong vibration setting, different recline positions, flat folding, and adjustable foot rest. The variable recline positions is nice because my baby has reflux and being upright is very important! There are some things I think could be improved: bounce feature is not really there unless I bounce her and the toy bar doesn't hold her interest- it's not very interactive. Overall I would recommend this product to a friend, especially one that has limited space or travels with their baby a lot! I received this product from Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Great Rocker - Comfortable and Portable
The City Sway Rocker is a must have for moms with young babies. I am a first time mom with a 2 month old. I received the City Sway Rocker to try from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The rocker keeps my little one safe and comfortable, and it is easy to move so I can take him around the house with me.
The rocker is ready to use out of the box. There is very little assembly required, just attach the toy bar and add 3 AA batteries for the vibration feature. The seat can easily be removed and cleaned in the washing machine, which is great for cleaning all those baby spit ups and spills.
The rocker is both safe and comfortable. The seat material is soft and cushiony. There is a 5 point harness to keep baby securely in the seat, with padding around the straps for baby's comfort.
The seat has 3 recline positions and adjustable leg support. It is easy to adjust the seat with baby in it, so you can easily find a comfortable position for your baby. My baby's favorite position is with the seat back fully reclined and the leg support up. There are 2 vibration settings, which help to soothe my baby. There is also a kickstand that converts the rocker into a bouncer.
The rocker's best feature is that it is easy to transport and store. It it light weight and easy to move from room to room, so I can take baby with me throughout the house. It folds flat and comes with a storage bag, so I just slip it under my bed or in a closet when not in use. I also throw it in the back of my car and take it with me when visiting friends, so baby has somewhere comfortable to hang out. You can take this rocker anywhere, and know that baby is safe and comfortable.

Happy Days with the City Sway
My 8 week old daughter is just getting to the age where she wants to be held and/or moving all the time! While I’m down to hold her most of the time, sometimes mommy needs a break to shower, get dinner ready, or help my other 2-year old daughter. This seat has been a life-saver... it keeps her entertained and “moving.” I love that the seat arrived fully assembled… Literally no assembly required whatsoever! You can remove all of the fabric to wash, which has come in handy with my DD’s frequent blowouts/barfs (lol)! The instructions weren’t super clear on how to collapse the seat. It took me a few tries to figure out that you need to first hold the “recline” button, and then press the “fold” button at the same time in order to get the seat to fully collapse. Once I figured that out, it came with us on a trip to Arizona! Otherwise, it’s very user friendly. All in all, it’s super cute, completely unisex and has a 5-point harness (Super safe!! Even with a rambunctious 2-year old running around). I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

A decent rocker with opportunity to become great
I was so excited to receive this baby rocker from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. Overall, this rocker keeps my almost four month old happy and entertained long enough to eat a dinner without having to come rescue her (a feat that alone, would convince me to buy this rocker). It is very lightweight, easy to fold and fits in the travel bag well. I also appreciate that the design for the batteries are completely baby proof without the need for a screw driver. However, this product comes with a few frustrating drawbacks that I wish would have been considered as part of product design, including the overall look, which is bulkier than I expected when I saw a picture of the product, it almost looks as though we just put a convertible car seat on the floor. The neutral colors of this product are great, but I think it could benefit from less fabric and padding so that it doesn’t stick out quite so much in a room. I also get really frustrated by the 5 point harness system and removable padding that goes along with the harness. The padding is bulky and sides around a lot and the harness itself you have to side clasp together first before clicking each or the shoulder parts into the bottom part - it’s more awkward than it has to be and requires a lot of coordination when you have a wiggly baby and a sleep deprived parent. The vibration setting could be enhanced to add a timer shut off function to preserve battery power. Lastly, I wish baby could reach the toy bar so she could play more when using the rocker. This rocker has so much potential if the frustrations above could be addressed.

Fantastic Bouncer and Rocker Combo
This bouncer / rocker combo is fantastic! Not only is it extremely functional but the design is modern and looks nice our home. It is easy to assemble (comes 95% assembled in box) and the padding is soft and cushiony. We placed our 2 month old in the rocker and she fell asleep almost instantly. I like that the height and footrest are adjustable so it can grow with our daughter. The rocker is easy to move throughout your home but I'm not sure I would travel with this (possibly a road trip). It is very nice that it folds flat to store when not in use. The only thing I would change is making it more intuitive to fold flat - it took me awhile to figure out.

Larger than expected
The city sway rocker is a great addition to the baby gear world, but it also has a few notable drawbacks. I received the product to test for free as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel; there are things about it that I love, but also some disappointing aspects. I love the neutral color, vibration feature, and attention to safety. The rocker has a 5-point harness with very comfortable pads at all potential rubbing points. It also has rubber on the bottom to prevent sliding, which kept me from pulling or pushing the rocker to move it - good for safety but annoying for convenience. Now the drawbacks - the set-up was not intuitive. I had to read the manual to figure out how to move or adjust any part of it, but after that it was pretty easy. Only the least reclined position locks in place, making me concerned my two-year-old could easily pull up on the seat and change the recline of my newborn! It doesn't take much to change the incline in the two lower positions. The large size of the seat was very tempting for my toddler who is over the weight limit. I wish it was rated for higher weights when it's so large. I don't see myself taking it places because, again, it's huge. I didn't even move it around my apartment much because it took up so much floor space. Though it "folds flat," it doesn't fit under my sofa or coffee table since it's still about 3-4 inches thick. Last two negatives - the toy bar became a "sword" for my toddler too quickly, and the vibration switch (which excited me the most) stopped functioning on day two with no automatic shut-off either. I had to pull the batteries out to stop the vibration. I haven't contacted the company yet to see if they'll fix the switch.

Beautiful Rocker
I love my City Sway Rocker! My first impression was that it's so nice looking. I love the black and gray and the adorable hanging animals. It fits in with my furniture much more than the other rocker and bouncer I own. One of the best things about it is that it folds flat and comes with a storage bag. It is very convenient to take out, put away, and move from room to room. My three month old loves sitting in the most reclined setting and starting at the toy bar. It also vibrates, which is a nice feature. I will be taking this with me next time we go to a friend's house, so the little one will have a place to hang out!
